It has been a while but I will throw my hat in the ring for this one. I recently bought out a ton of Huffy parts and included in the deal was later rail frame with enormous dropouts welded on. As I dug farther into the pile I also found a handful of early Huffy disc brakes and wheels. Included among them was this 20" wheel with an enormous pie plate.

I thought maybe I could slap it on the big dropout frame but the caliper part was not meant to fit the rail frame. After sorting a ton of parts I eventually figured out that one of the calipers had been modified, I tried it and it for the Rail like it was made for it.

The plan is to load it up with Huffy and/or period correct parts. Still lots of parts to be located and bugs to be worked out.

Welcome aboard George!

Great starting point. Looking forward to watching this materialize. RaT oN~!

In order to give myself some inspiration I have been staring at my previous RRB MMBO bike The Jackalope. I am hoping that this new build will blend in just as well with my stock Huffys...

I like it great job so far.
Hey @krate-mayhem , with a username like that you have to be into muscle bikes, right? :wink1:

Why don't you join us in this build off? We just got started on Oct 1, and it would be awesome to have you jump aboard!

I have had this project on the back burner while I keeping my eyes peeled for a donor or two but pickings have been slim. I have been able to pile up a few key parts though....

The console is a little rough. I am not going to do much more than clean it as I really don't have the experience or time with redoing them.

I plan to use this Sweet & Sassy little guard, I think. It is pretty banged up and the bracket had broken at some time and was riveted into place. I am taking it over to a buddy's tonight to bang on it and tack the bracket back on.

If the guard looks OK, then I will be heading to powder coat next week.

Crazy cool. Hope to see this one at the finish line.

Heading to powder coat tomorrow.

Last night I threw a slick on the rear and mocked it up again so I could drill holes for sissy mounts. Unfortunately I ran into a minor SNAFU with brake but I plan to take it to a mechanic buddy for advice and hopefully will still get it to powder today.

In the meantime I will see if this tall bronco will clean up. I was told it was original equipment on a Grant's badged Rail but I have never seen another tall one.
