Looking for resonably priced wide tires

I recently purchased a used Phat Cycles "Sea breeze" cruiser. It is similar in design to the Electra cruisers. It originally came with some Innova 26x2.5 ( 62-559)tires. They have seen better days and I need to replace them.
I temporarily put some Duro 2.125 tires on it, but they look so tiny on this bike.
Between the wide frame spacing and with the oversized tubing ,I think the bike needs the fatter tires.

I have been window shopping for a few days and I can't seem to find a 26x2.5 tire that doesn't cost a small fortune.
I really don't want to spend twice as much on tires than I spent on the bike.

Any ideas???
Any tire options that are close to these Innovas?

Has anyone done any size comparisons of the different tires out there?

This might be a bad suggestion in terms of cost, but Schwalbe Big Bens come in 26 x 2.35 and they are excellent tires. Should last a long while, too, which may or may not work out to be worth the money for you in the longer run.

the CST Cyclops aren't the lightest, but I have them on two bikes and they look and ride great
