I used to love riding in the snow and cold. I think I'm getting old and lazy.
I was without a motor vehicle for two successive Colorado Winters and commuted a few miles to work locally during that time. The novelty has worn off a bit, but I still get the fatbike out for recreational purposes on occasion.

Served me well 5 winters now was going use it for something else but became my winter bike

Great ride into work this morning. 4-5 inches of snow overnight. Main roads still had lots of snow on them in the bike lane. But good news lakefront path all clear plowed and salted. 17 degrees with a tailwind and bright sun sure helps.

I rode to get a burrito this morning. The thermometer in the backyard said -15, whereas the weather apps said -20. Single digits and under, 5f is not noticeable to me.

Same spot, a few weeks later, after more snow. Bike is okay for sloppy/icy street use but the gear ratio isn't low enough for off road uphills of any angle. Too much wind chill to go northwest today.
