Looks great! And appears to have the right amount of tension. I see one rubber stopper for travel control on the spring. Maybe one at the top to soften the 'rebound' might smooth it out a bit?

Fits the build well. RaT oN!
Thanks. A rubber bumper would help things and I have the space for it. I actually had to add a steel spacer because I missed my target for the seat post angle by a few degrees. One of those mistakes that prove to be beneficial. I'm going to push forward though. It was probably foolish of me to spend so much time on this when I had a good looking setup on the first attempt but I get high off finding solutions to mechanical problems. This was super fun to make.

So there was just one thing that was bothering me about this set up and that was the spring retainer bracket. It was like having a splinter under your finger nail when I looked at it. So I cut the whole thing apart...JK. I did get the spring spaced properly and that freed up some space behind the bracket and allowed to make it flow way better than my first rendition. Now I can move on.

So not long after i sketched the fork for this build it occurred to me that it opened up an opportunity to make some really cool unconventional bars. Of course the way I'd envisioned it in my head didn't quite work out but after some trial and error I came up with something I can live with. They rotate on the fork tube like gull wing doors and they also will pivot where they join together to hold the chrome bars which gives a wide array of ergonomic options from fairly upright to full on board tracker. I still have to fit the pieces to secure the hardware and do lots of filling and grinding but I think the hardest part of this is behind me now.

And here's a sneak peak at some pedals that are in the works. I have a friend who wanted to help me and I'm not really one to collaborate on projects but these are pedals I wanted to make for the last build I did and I ran out time. So I did a quick doodle and turned him loose and he's really run with it. After two evenings he's almost t got them done and his work is super precise.

Today is been pretty frustrating and unproductive but I did finally figure out how I'm going to clamp on my handlebars. After trying lots of different options that I thought would be easier I went back to plan A. 1 down 5 more to go. Its so tedious, but this is where having TIG welder really helps.

I got the antlers all welded up in their permanent locations. And the pedals are done. The best part about these pedals is I didn't have to lift a finger to make them. Other than some verbal input my friend did all the fabrication. He's got about 18 hours in them. No way I could have squeezed them in, and the bike really needed these. No other pedals would have sufficed.

So instead of staring the fenders I started tinkering with my saddle. I knew I wanted to modify this repop hairpin saddle I had but I didn't know exactly where I was going to go with the rails. I don't even know how I came up with this but I love it! It needs a little more R&D like maybe a screw on the front to push the ring that holds the rails back but I'm calling it done for now. This will also be my last post till the after the deadline has passed. Good luck everyone.

Just wanted to do a test upload. I'm super paranoid that some technical snafu will prevent me from getting my pics uploaded. I know there is a 1.2 megabyte max but I never reduced the size of my pics previously. Do I have to reduce them or does it happen automatically? As you can Shaggs is not impressed with all the time I've been spending on this build lately.
