kickstand installation advice

I've removed/installed a few schwinn built in kickstands, but it is kind of tricky. I can't afford to scratch my frame on this one. Anyone know of a good way to do it without a $40 kickstand tool?
 
That's the way I do it, I guess it's the only way without the correct tool.
 
I made a tool out of a piece of copper tubing. I use a squeeze clamp to make it work. Gary

that looks even less scratch prone than the 'right' tool :)

you can always get the $10 tool from maple island sales

That is such a cool looking tool! It is amazing what a man can do with a hunk of copper. I'm saving this one for the future.
