.......are turning PINK!
A couple of months ago I re-did this 1962 Schwinn Jaguar. The tires were replaced with Kenda whitewalls.
Since then I've rode the bike several times. Nothing out of the ordinary.
Today I get the Jaguar out to go on a ride. I look at the tires and notice the whitewalls are turning pink.
I tried scrubbing the whitewalls with S.O.S. pads, and Wesley's Bleche-white tire cleaner. Nothing works, the whitewalls are stained pink.
It does not appear to be mold. The weather here has been very mild and low humidity. I also have other bikes with whitewalls and they are fine.
The pink is hard to see in the images, but it's there.
Has anyone ever seen anything like this?
