Looks pretty much designed for the non-riders of the world to buy and leave in their garage, but that is cheap for belt drive. I noticed they don't mention the maker of the belt; even Gates are pretty problematic, so i can't imagine the one on the $400 IKEA bike would be better. But i will say that i definitely want this thing:

I like the 'integrated' concept but the Ikea is too 'girly' for a hairy biker like moi.

I work for IKEA. The bike was designed for city riding. At frist look I felt that it was a bit heavy. I was a bit put off it because it only had a front disc brake! I have since ridden the bike it seems to ride well. It has a two speed hub sort of a kick back shift. I still would prefer a rear disc brake over the back pedal brake. I would like to say I would like it in another color besides white or silver color I understand the euro model comes in flat black. All said I think this a good bike. IKEA is not paying me to write this I'm just a poster like you all!
