Fresh from gold country, Oroville California. Looks to be a 1906 or so. Only markings are on the shift carrier and appears to be a part number and not any type of makers mark.

The interesting thing on this is the shifter. When I bought it I thought is was a brake. It is really a shifter that engages the drive sprocket into gear or freewheel so you can coast. Steering and brakes with the feet. This was what I would asume to be big money back in the day to be able to own one and the poor kids like me had to build our own out of scraps laying around. Kind of how I build bicycles today. I guess you go to what you know.

I took a lot of photos for those of you who are entertaining the idea of building one of these as a quadracycle. I think I am.

Any details needed? Let me know and any info is welcome so please ad to this post.
