Figured I might as well throw up a build thread...Not gonna bother with a before pic...

Stripped....




A light coat of glitter on frame,heavy on forks..





Hit the frame with a propane torch for some blueing/weld burn marks...



Misfit Cycles FU2 bars,modeled after "mary" bars popular with single speed MTB folk..
Crank Bros lock on grips freebies from LBS..




Some pinstripe tape on rims..

I also installed a Truativ crankset...32tooth,and a 23 tooth rear cog...

Origin8 quill adapter,mongoose stem I had in my stash.
I have some Devist8er tires on the way,and some lighter Surly tubes...

Now I just need one of them spring brooks copy seats....

New Tires...Not as beefy as stock tires,but considerably lighter..

That sure is some low gearing that you installed on there.

With 32 chain and 23 cog you have 0.72:1, with all out pedaling about 100rpm's at the crank you would get about 10.8mph...

I'm building it more for trails than street...10 mph in the woods is plenty for me.

I know it's not designed for it,but I don't care...I'm not a serious MTBer...

That's cool... I'm sure with that gearing it will do really well on the trails.
