Help figure out my mystery red bike

So one of my recent bikes is this lovely reddish painted red bike. The chain ring was on for at least one paint job so maybe helpful.. this one has some frame repair at the bottom bracket but for now not getting done.

Very cool cups, recessed crank hardware, well flush assembled...

doglegged crank and wheel that's been on or at least one repaint...
Thanks alot, this has finned Elgin rear hub I need clean the front...
Won't be jumping on this project too fast so would like get chance learn all I can about it.

The chain ring looks Snyder (Rollfast) but is it original to the frame?

Usually an "H" at the beginning is most probably a Huffman or later, a Huffy with the secong digit an "H". My research shows H3 as 1939 on a long list I found.

Needs more research.
