Funny ebay story... oops

So late last night I was bored and randomly clicking around old bike stuff on the ebay, and I saw a chainring that was a non-skiptooth version of my Roadmaster's chainring. It was only up to a couple bucks with a few hours left, so I put a bid on it and went to bed.

This afternoon I get a text message on my phone after the auction was over, and it's Ian (ifitsfreeitsforme).

"dude you won the chainring I had on ebay!"

I should have checked the seller and location
At least it doesn't have to be shipped!

I find it funny how many times I have dealt with RRB members in person. Frequently without knowing until after the fact.

I have another one

a few years ago I needed blue Schwinn Spitfire chainguard and as with anything I ever buy on ebay I have probably have sold it before. and I remembered I had sold one a year before that. after I won the guy told me in his email it was funny because he had bought the exact guard from me the year before and never used it!
I basically paid him $20 for him to store it for me in California for a year!

...I was just about to click the "send" button for the invoice and I see the name Joey Mac, and was like... "wait a minute...". For him the chainring is free. Small world.
