FINK 49

A few up dates on the Fink .... if I haven't made it clear this bike rides great I love it already the 29" wheel is the deal !!! And of course the 3G ....
Spent some time cutting down the fork about 1 1/4 " off the top of the 3 down tubes . I had to fine tune with the grinder . But it fits like a glove . I haven't cut the bottom legs yet, not sure what I will do there yet . Because once there cut there isn't no bringing them back .

O ya this came in the mail today

This big gel seat that came with the bike is about the most comfortable seat I've ever used but ,,,, dang it just doesn't look right .

Like the new seat and grip combo. That fork is massive! Will you go with the 29er tire that's on there or something else planned?
I bet there's room for a 'plus' tire in there....2.8 or 3.0....mo fatta, mo betta!

I will change the tire this is a 2.0 mnt. Bike tire that was on this wheel. I will also have a disc break on the front. The 3G fork is a beast weighing in at 18 lbs.

I pick up a wicked head light .
I will convert it to LED with a battery inside the housing.
It was a bit tarnished but shined up nicely with some 0000 steal wool .

It's a big light & will fit the bike perfect.

Wicked idea man! Those forks work great on Fink frames!
That light will polish up well too. I think it's like the Unity light I used on Flexy years ago. They are massive cool lights!

I've been Working on some psychedelic 60s and 70s colors . This bike will be done in powder coat .
Going with a heavy metallic silver base , then liquid sunshine transparent yellow with some pearl mixed in & chartreuse metal flake.
Been working on picking colors with my powder coat buddy for a couple weeks . I think we finally got it figured out . This is the vibe I'm going for .

Awesome bike. There is a Phat chopper available near me for real cheap and that fork is sweet. I havent been able to figure out how or where to use it. You are giving me ideas

Put in some time working on the fender . Going to dump the original one . Big daddy Ed was all about custom and as cool as theses bikes are there are to many that look the same . I've had this1940s fender for a long time & even tryed sell it with no luck . So it's time to use it . But it will have to be modified, let the sparks fly .

Made a bracket from the fender .

Its just sitting there & will have to be adjusted. I will need to make a bracket / short sissy bar Combo

Also have a piece of alligator leather ( cow hide ). It's more flexible & cheeper . heading my way to recover the seat .
