This is a bike I built last year, when I started I had no experience in this kind of thing before, it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be (especially if you have a friend who can weld) so anyone thinking of giving it a go, do it!
I'm still doing some work on this bike, changing parts as I find them etc so there will be some updates
I started out with a rough idea and some old bicycles
First was the MSPaint design phase
Then time to start cutting
I used an online tube miter tool http://metalgeek.com/static/cope.pcgi to help with the joins and a digital angle finder was very useful
Spent a lot of time cutting, grinding and filing then got a friend to weld it and ended up with this, 2 bikes and a couple extra lengths of tube went into it
I bought the springer forks and laced up new hubs and spokes to some nice and rusty old rims
The frame was acid dipped to remove the paint and was left as bare metal
I always intended on filling the space between the top tubes and what better way than some leather bottle carriers
I cut the chain ring up so I could swap ratios by bolting on a different size ring, the extra bit of chain is added via a master link for the larger ring
Tool pouch was added to help fill the gap under the seat, it's still got the original tools in it too
