Ran across this at a local flea market over the weekend. No real details about it. I'll let the pics speak for themselves.

There was a lot of bikes like this being built during the Gas-Rationing years of World War 2. People had to get to work and the amount of Ration Stamps received didn't exactly work well with what automobiles required.
 
Wow I would have liked to have that bike if it was local to me .. Although shipping is a issue due to its width . Its almost worth a drive from Mass. .. :shock: I wish you had checked the price tag. :( Thanks for the photo though I do appriciate it.. I like early American ideas.. :mrgreen:
 
Loving it .

That bike would not take much embelishment to be very steampunk looking, very 'industrial age' type drive with the shafts and pillow block bearings, etc.
totally great.. go grab it, make it safe to ride and have at it 8)
