We have a guy named warrior cycles in Lakeland FL as I have mentioned before and another guy who posts back at him. But now someone else has gotten into it.

There's back & forth here on cl too as a guy is posting tons of 70s & 80s roadbikes (sometimes 3 times a day each bike) for $150+ that most people can get for $25-$50 easily; another guy keeps posting fake adds and angry stuff about it all the time.

I just flag that both post now as it is making it hard to look for cool bikes.

Cleveland has turned into this as well. We got 2 idiots posting some seriously overpriced trash on here nearly every day under multiple accounts. Is there anyone really that stupid, that they would spend $300 for these dept store brand bikes from the 80s? See em every day for the past year or more. Ugh can't stand it.

I'm not sure what this is, exactly, but it seems like it might be a good price! If anybody can read between the lines and/or translate what this is, let us know?

"sell bicycle for 35 dollars - $35"

"sell bike. for only 35 dollars short of breath and a piece that takes the side of the pedals to the changes. 35 dollars runs great ."

A picture might help, but of course there isn't one!

Ahhh yes, deciphering talk-2-text!
Let me see, $35 short for meth.....
The cranks are missing.....
Runs great means exactly what is said, it is a great running bike! -means you run, instead of pedalling!!!!
So sorry for the sarcasm, adds like this are a waste of time.

I'm starting to think that craigslist is a waste of my time this summer. I got a great deal last summer on an 80's beach cruiser, got a great deal on this summer's "project bike" back in May and since then I've missed two other great deals due to lack of e-mail response by the sellers.

Me: "When can I come look at it?"
Them, hours later: "How about tomorrow afternoon?"
Me, mere minutes later: "Tomorrow afternoon sounds GREAT! Just need a time and an address."
Me, hours later: "Well, now it IS afternoon -- just need a time & address!"
Me, a few hours later: "6 PM and I guess we're into 'evening' now but I'm still interested -- just need a time and place."

Needless to say, I gave up.

You guys are lucky you even get one response. I've tried on a few times this summer but no replies at all, even after trying to forms of communication.
