I found this on Craigslist. Drove across town and met a real nice guy named Mike that had it for sale. We talked bikes for a while, struck a deal on the Columbia and I loaded it up. Seems like a real nice heavy duty bike that will make a nice rider. Still not a tank bike but I couldn't pass it up.

That should be Columbia's Newsboy Special, which is why it seems heavy duty (it is!). Nice bike! Looks early 60s and you can get an exact date with the serial number. Nice find!

Looks like my 55 Newsboy Special. I looked at many pics of Columbia frames and I think it can only be a Newsboy with that frame style.

Your forks have a slight bend, but shouldn't be too difficult to straighten. If you use other forks, I'd be interested in those old forks.
