Actually I have a million and one things going on, but I did drop the rims and hubs off the other day to get them laced up. I THINK I can finish it in time, but it's gonna be tight. I got invited to go down to Costa Rica in August to make a sculpture for their museum, so I have a lot of prep to do for that.

What's the latest with Aunt Flow?

Hey look I finally worked on the bike some more......

On the frame, tank, and fork I decided to go with a gun blued finish. It will match the chain guard and fenders I found pretty well. I used Birchwood Casey "Super Blue". You may remember from the stripping that I left a little of the old patina that I found under then paint intact. It shows through the blued finish and looks pretty cool.



There is a LOT of brass on this frame. They slung it everywhere....




After bluing and steel wool I sealed it up with some boiled linseed oil.




The pictures don't do it justice at all. This finish is SICK. I'm a happy man :mrgreen:

It looks like the finish is a mix of treatments I will need to keep in mind.

Did the linseed oil give it much better depth as well?
