Got this a while back and would like to find out what year and possibly models that would use
this frame. Its going to be built up for a charity auction (ElderDay) an adult day care nonprofit org. A simple fenderless build PC frame custom headbadge new Skiptooth Leathers seat and 3spd or kickback 2 I havent decided . I would like to find out as much Colson history as possible for the display and its theme "Respect Your Elders" SN apears to be 7H3465 single line.
Thanks
Gary

It's raining Colsons!

The frame has rear facing dropouts which is the first style, originating prewar, about 1940. The serial number, if it means anything, might mean August 1947. I do not know when the dropouts changed to forward facing that people call "postwar" style.

Does your fork have a small tab projecting forward from the crown to mount the fender? Earlier ones did, later ones did not.

I can't tell, are your fenders peaked "gothic" style?

The seat, stem, guard, crank, chainwheel, and pedals are clearly not original.

Best frame ever, I think.
