Air ride systems, anyone have pointers?

I'm in the planing stages of an air ride build. I've done lots of digging around and learned a lot but I'm looking for more details and specifics on what other people have used. I found Down Bikes online but they have no details on their system and don't sell it on its own. Anyone have one of these to give me some detail?

I love this one but looking for more options and success stories so I can chose what's best for my application.

I have never seen anything on air ride bikes. One idea is to look on RC sites and see if they have anything you could adapt to your bike. You could maybe connect an elec air pump to a mountain bike air shock.
I lived in AZ for about 15 years and never mountain biked the White Mountains. I usually rode the South Mountains, North Mountains or McDowells.
