Hmm, do we have a china builder section, plenty of raw material.

Been there few month ago. It is really sad what happens to those bikes.
The way they build them and parts they use are quite unconventional for European or American bikes by the way. For example they all use single speed rear wheels with roller (or drum) brakes, tubeless tires.

I noticed the drum brakes, never used them but theyve got my interest, Ill run across a set someday. Tubeless tires makes sense.

Weird deal, Id heard about it, but the quantity in the piles was surprising.

When sponsors made the use of shared bikes free the users left them everywhere. It became such a problem that the city has to gather them up.
