SE's been leaking photos of it's new fat 26" BMX bike due out this Summer to the tune of $950.

Gotta love the SE logo shaped holes in the wheels and the disk brakes.

Very cool, I just wish they had called it something other than a PK Ripper...

Luke.

Why not call it a PK Ripper? It looks like a regular PKR, but with discs and fat tires...

Regardless, SE would be wise to sell the fat version of the Landing Gear fork ala carte; bet it'd sell well....

I guess I was coming from the angle that it may be a dilution to the originals...

I would buy one!

Luke.

Yeah, you make a good point, albeit a moot one. SE has already brought us a PKR 29er and a Quadrangle fixed gear, so they jumped the shark ages ago.... If it's possible to dilute the original SEs, the damage has already been done.

Personally, I kinda enjoy the company's current "anything goes" philosophy. These are the same folks who brought us these headset spacers:

They've faked it so hard, it's like they became real again...

I agree but maybe the name fits because of the last photo with the guy getting air on one. The bottom of his pants seem to be in contact with the rear fat tire. So maybe ripper was a logical choice?

With knobby tires, there would be a lot more rippin' going on.

How many bikes can one company give the same name too?
My guess it will be Fat Ripper or PK Ripper F or F@S Ripper
