1989 Schwinn Probe AKA "Meat Machine"

This is a 1989 Schwinn Probe Road Bike striped down to metal to show the intricate brazing on the ornate fittings. The combo looks awesome. The dropouts are off a GT and welded perfectly. Added old Fuji embossed road cranks. Black Arraya rims with Red Spoke nipples and Blue Sunshine hubs. Big lightweight Bontrager Hanks. This big is smooth smooth.

Only a couple hits with Rattlecan Clear as of now. could use a nice thick coat b/c it looks very good raw.

Cool build. I like the rawness of the frame with those Bontrager tires.

GT dropouts, Schwinn Frame, Fuji cranks. A true frankentstein bike.

The one I have has a bigger frame. Its now stripped down to be powder coated. I was told they are hybrids or city bikes. They are considered mtbs. Its awesome to see another one.
