I'm not finished yet, still looking for the Takagi MX cranks and sprocket I really want but it's ready and rollin'. I built it with a mix of old used parts and some NOS stuff. Since I ride my cruisers so much I like things to run smooth so the hubs, bottom bracket and headset are all NOS packed with fresh grease.

All finish is original except the frame. Decals are the real deal I got from Gary Littlejohn himself.

Parts:

1978 mild steel Littlejohn Fireroad cruiser
Tange fork
Vintage Flanders flat track MX bars w/American Pro grips
NOS Tange MX-2 headset
Antique seat with "Lucky 7" seatpost
Ashtabula 7 1/2" crank (190mm)
NOS Tange 28tpi bottom bracket
KKT Super MX rat trap pedals
NOS Steel Araya rims
NOS Shimano MX hubs with .105(12 gauge) spokes
NOS Uniroyal Nobby tires with NOS Goodyear tubes :D

That is tough!!!, what size Takagi crank are you looking for, I might have one.

Thanks!

I'm looking for the early Takagi "MX" stamped crank, in OG black, 28tpi, 180mm or longer. They came advertised in 7" and 7 1/2", these measurements I go by are from the center of the crank axle to the center of the pedal axle.

Great pics... It was nice to see all the vintage BMX Cruisers yesterday. I was on the chrome "BMX Look" cruiser... no original stuff on it but it kinda looks like one. My buddy had the black Spitfire with the Cook Bros forks.

Right on!

I can't wait for the next cruise!
