I'm in the new bike business. I'm repairing a 26 inch Schwinn Corvette from 1957, and it's hard for me to get its original color. In 1957, Sherwinn Williams used a Opalescen Red color. Visiting the store nearest to where I live, they told me that I needed the code for the painting to be ready. Does anyone know or can you get me the code?

Pull the fork and you'll find color that hasn't been affected by UV rays. A good paint store has a spectrophotometer and can identify what pigments are used to make up a color. They hold the device against a good color and the rest is simple.

As far as I know, no formulas exist.
