So, I was at a show up at Heritage Cycles this summer and fell in love with a bike... Cleveland Welding Co way era Roadmaster. Something about the lines were PERFECT! Not to mention that the one in the show was SPOTLESS. Fast forward a few months and low and behold there is one for sale right here, on RRB! Here it is the day I received it...

I've slowly been scooping up parts... Not necessarily a perfect recreation, but as close as possible given my quirky taste.

Here is a Lobdell three-spring saddle I painted and re-covered...

What I think to be the correct chainguard before and after polishing...

I was told a dog-leg crank would be correct for this vintage, although I already had purchased the chainring with a straight crank, I was able to get the dog leg pretty reasonably.

I had quite a time trying to decide what to do with the paint. As you can see, for a 70 year old bike, it was in pretty .... good shape... But I felt like it needed... SOMETHING. So I decided to repaint the accent colors and let the patina show through the maroon. Here is step one... Re-striping the fork...

Thank you! I'm ABSOLUTELY learning as I go... And like I said, it took a long time trying to decide whether I should repaint, leave it as is... Or the mixture of the two. I hope I can pull off the rest of the mix!!!

The colors look like they're the same as the frame I used for Artemus.
Looks good with the original paint.

They are 1Shot, and so close to the original colors I hate to try and mix up a batch... Since I'm going to all of the striping - it'll all match!

I got the dog leg for $10 on eBay... Just gotta keep your eyes open. It was a little rough, but 20 mins on the buffer wheels and she cleaned up purty!

Very nice! I love that style frame. I have a 1946. One of my favorite bikes.
