1930's Elgin with tank

I just picked up this barn find and was wondering if someone knew the model and year. I think it's a 1938, but not for sure.

Looks to be 38'/39'.Very cool find.I have a 38' myself.

It does seem to be a 1941 after all, with the aftermarket chain guard. I was told the long tank was only on the 1941's.
I would like to get the fork truss rods and correct chain guard, but I'm assuming thats going to be a bit difficult.
Here's some pics with that motor removed.

MOS-F would be the code for a '41 Elgin by Murray. It'll be stamped on the BB over the serial #. -Adam
