Had this girl given to me this weekend. Its solid, but geeze is it rusty. Not sure if I'm going to put it back together or just make art out of it yet. It has a really cool front badge Pioneer. I'll have to clean it up and get a picture of it. Just need to get one screw loose from it.

I'll get some more pictures tonight, its solid but it is pitted through out the bike. I've tried to get a serial number but after cleaning it up still hard to read. Been doing some research to try to narrow it down I know it does have the rear adjusters for axle and the kick stand that flips under the rear wheel. Sucks it is missing though.

That's the same color as most of my bikes! I'd put some tubes and tires on her, give her a good regreasing and leave the 'patina' just as it is. Then ride the wheels off her!

Tank supprise!! yay

Really having my doubts on fixing it... Wheels are trash, although could rob some to work. The nuts on the bike are so rusted they look like star nuts now. lol
This is freaking sweet though head badge.

Wish this one had the fenders and chain guard its a beautiful bike... or could be lol. Just not sure if I'm going to put any time into it.

i've seen some stuff brought back that I would normally scrap so anything is possible.

True if anyone wants to donate stuff I'll take it happily lol.

The close up pics do look pretty bad but I've brought home a few that were just like that. It might be worth spending a few bucks on a can of PB Blaster and some brass brushes and fine steel wool. I park them over a piece of plastic and soak the entire bike down with the PB Blaster. Let it soak in for a while and then brush or scrub away the rust. And old Hawthorne I picked up a few weeks back looked as bad as your bike but after a Blaster bath every thing came loose and I found about 40 percent of the original paint underneth all that rust. Now with some different tires and tubes it'll be a cool rider. Headlight before

Sorry to pollute your post with my pics I just want to show you what might be under that rust.

Wow that was a huge transformation. I might try it but I'm not holding my breath on this one. I don't mind it just being a rusty bike thats a cruiser, but all of the nuts on this thing are pitted and rusted on bad. I'be been soaking the bike in pb blaster now for a bit just not the entire bike just the nuts and cant get them to budge. Might have to get a torche and heat them up try again. Just not even sure where to find the nuts I need.

Awesome find! I'd try the PB Blaster suggestion in the above post. That stuff is amazing! 8)

Yeah I tried for a bit there is no paint left, forgot to mention this thing was sitting next to a shop that caught fire. The only glimps of paint was under one of the clams for the non existing chain guard lol.
