Haha, I'm just wondering if the Dana has an output equivalent for each gear, like first is equivalent to a 32t, second to a 40t, 3rd to a 48t...

That would really help you decide on what tooth count rear to run.

Additional threading if for people who don't want to cut and crudely weld a perfectly good fork back together... or for people with a LBS.

Should be no problem to add more threading. You can make anything look cleaner than new. :wink:

Got my fork threaded by master fork threader Billy at Bicycles Plus in Allen off of Stacy Rd.

Got the fork cut down and the front end installed.

So here she is in riding condition...

Chad's awesome stainless seat post...

Next on the list will be a custom tank panel.

They're $20 a pair from that oatmeal4u guy on Ebay.

I've probably bought 15 pair from the guy over the past 2-3 years. :lol:

Coming together nicely! Do you have plans for running the lines? or are you just going to leave them zip tied to the frame? What do you think about running them inside the frame?

Not totally sure what I'll do about the cables yet.

I may have to see if I can swap out newer longer cables because the current cables are almost too short for this set up.

Well, it ain't a Nexus, but it's better than a 1 speed. :lol:

While it does give you speed options, you end up feeling that you're not going as fast as you should be for the pedal power you're putting out.

It must have something to do with power loss associated with multiple gears in the transmission.

Again, I'm no math wiz so it's all way above my head.

Decided to try my hand at creating a tank plate today. Ran by Lowe's after church and picked up some supplies.

Drew my pattern out...

Then I had an idea on how to handle the edges. I rode my build off bike to Auto Zone for supplies...

Back home with supplies...

And here's how it turned out..,

Still need to fabricate some kind of attachment system to hold the plate on. Also need to figure out if I'm going to paint the plate or not.

Also thinking pretty seriously abut creating a hole pattern in plate...
