I am starting with a name this year, the ideas will follow I am sure! I am gonna call it "The Rhosgobel Rabbit".

This year I am going with a girl's bike I bought on the cheap at a local estate sale. I have yet to inspect it closely so I do not know the make or model. I bought it last year and it has sat, tomorrow I plan on cleaning her up and seeing what I come up with. My hope is that the wheels will be in workable condition as I do not have a spare set!

Here she is:

Haha!! I guess the word R A B B I T is out the window this year. You'll have to post that pic every time you want to mention your build name.. Too funny.

Girls bikes can be very cool. Good luck with the build.

Nice bunny sled  Those look like some decent drop centers too, hope they clean up for you !!!

What's up doc?
Good luck.

Cute bunny, I wonder if I still have one of those little metal bunny badges?

Great scene from the Hobbit. I never would have caught that. Looking forward to your next step.

After much thought I decided that the Rabbit must be more nimble and flexible than your standard bicycle. Radagast's rabbits could weave and cover ground in an odd manner, so shall my Rabbit.

Here she is all stripped down.

I have been inspired by all the anything goes threads so after a couple puffs of some Longbottom Leaf....

Off with her head!!

Once I had the cut-off wheel in hand I found it hard to stop.

Too many holes now!

Filled in and ready to move on.

Who needs a seat post?

Hmmm is it just the pipeweed talkin' or can I repurpose a little?

26 inch wheeled Swing Bike?

All that is left uncut is from the dropouts to the bottom bracket housing.

Now I need a good nights rest, some cool fabrication work, and a moderator to help me move this build over to the dark side.

Luke.

Getting every dollar out of my Harbor Freight cut-off wheel.

Notched front forks ready to be slipped on to the dropouts.

Quick mock up.

Tacked up and carefully centered and such.

Tacked, ready to be bent in a little.

Bent in and ready to weld.

I love my Miller 350P.

More chopping!

And another hole to fill.

Just bondo it in!!

All tacked up the back end. I won't weld it up too much until I test ride it.

That is strange and cool work. Looks like it belongs on a swing bike.

You guessed it, it is gonna be my try at a 26 inch wheeled swing bike!!!

I didn't get anything on my bike done today but I did adopt a new member of the family!

It's a 6.5 Mechanics Vise made my Wilton and rebranded by Snap On. I found it for sale locally on the internetz, I got it for a CRAZY good price. My excitement for it barely outweighs my guilt for paying so little for it.

Here is a link: Snap On 6.5 inch Vise

It is awesome.
