I gussied up the bike tonight for a group night ride with a bunch of friends. Had a great time and got to see downtown Kalamazoo after dark. We had bikes from three different decades in the group!

I made the holes in the gusset with a Christmas tree bit from harbor freight. Just took a bit of maths to get them to flow that way

Thanks! If the paint ever arrives, I still want to paint it. It won't last long in raw steel with this Michigan weather. I can't put it in my garage/shop because it's too long to store hung up on the wall. I've only got 10 ft ceilings and the bike is 11 ft long

The final photo of this bike, before I broke it down for paint. I still want to fully paint it, but it's a matter of IF the paint ever shows up. Can't even get a refund because it's still "in transit, close to being delivered"

Well, I wasn't able to paint her the way I wanted, but she's otherwise finished. Never could come up with a good name for this build. It sure is a crowd stopper, and at 11 feet long it's a great traffic stopper Here's a link to the build thread...

Long time no see. It's been hotter than Alexandria Daddario in a swimsuit these last few weeks, and thanks to Canada it's been a smokey, hazy mess. Just broke the bike down for the final metal work and starting on primer. No pics yet, just a bunch of sanding and welding

Got some night time pics. The city removed the light fixtures from my favorite night pic spot because the homeless were making camps there, but there's a few other decent spots around.

It was ridable, but you are incredibly intimate with the back tire. Yeah you can borrow the design. Oddly enough, I somehow still have this frame tucked away. Maybe one day I'll freshen it up and let it see sunshine again

Was it this bike? If so, yes I built it. The frame was built from a futon bed, the forks are 4.5 foot long galvanized fence posts

This turned out to be a pretty good weekend so far. Went on two fun group bike rides, I'm in the process of buying a new (to me) car, finally fixed the exhaust on my mom's car after I ran over a huge truck hitch on the interstate, and I got to meet some old friends and a few new ones
