    Transistor Radio Holder

I have made a number of postings here on the Forum about "bicycle radios", which could be mounted on a bike, usually on the handlebars. There actually was one more option to be had... a transistor radio holder that would mount on the handlebars. I recently picked up one on Ebay. The only problem...

Do You Ever Bicycle In Parades?

I'm surprised that no one admits to riding their bikes in a parade. I know at least some of you guys are as crazy as I am. Halloween is coming up and there are parades. If you have a tandem, put a life sized skeleton on the stoker seat...

Do You Ever Bicycle In Parades?

The Annual Middletown (DE) Hummer's New Year Parade is a home grown walk around town that spoofs events and people who were in the headlines of the previous year. People just show up and strut their stuff. Generally it would start at 1 PM and be finished by 2 PM. I have participated in the...

When I was young and foolish (now I'm just foolish)- MY BIG ADVENTURE- In July of 1970 I set out on my trusty 40 pound Schwinn with 30 pounds of equipment for a ride around the Delaware River and Bay. I rode over to the Delaware Memorial Bridge and hitched a ride across. Then rode from...

    Ooh, it makes me wonder!

Over 40 plus years ago when my brother and I were doing bike repairs at a bike rental shop on Nantucket Island, when he was servicing a front or rear hub, I would take away or add a bearing to his cup of bearings when he was not looking. Eventually he caught on and retribution was swift.
