First, very short test ride this morning. So far, so good. We'll see how she does on the rail trail this weekend.

This bike is kick'n & screaming, all the way through this resurrection, man. It's like, it doesn't want to ride again. Stupid little things, like kickstand alignment, to prevent the crank from hitting it ... fender clearance between the forks, that isn't discovered, until the rim is on ...

I forgot to mention, my buddy threw in a higher end Ross MTB.

Troglodyte Build Log. Originally posted in Fresh Finds, as found: Extracted from the forest trying to eat it, it came home from my buddy's outdoor stash, today: After a quick bath, it now waits for me to get the CWC off the repair stand, for disassembly, cleaning, and resurrection.

New bearings, cups & cones all around. Straightened the curb-bent fork. Gotta rehab the chain, if it's possible, install it, the chain guard, and fenders, reinstall the stem and bars, make an adapter for a saddle, and I might be able to ride this thing this weekend. Pay no mind to the interim...

Good to see a couple more mid-Atlantic dudes. Still only 1 Canadian ... What the Canuck!

Rear rim's done. Scrubbed the H.E. double hockey sticks out of the fenders and frame, and there's still more to do.
