I'm pretty sure they were repop tanks that were produced for those Colombia
bikes they came out with. I have one and I think they fit a 39 40 or 41 colombia
frame. They might fit some others too. I heard someone say they would fit some
year of an Elgin. Don't know for sure. When I bought mine they sold them for $25.
Now they seem a lot prouder of them.

The bike was called an sr-5 Colombia Superb. I bought my tank to fit a colombia
I got from Thatismytruck a long time ago, but couldn't match the paint and gave
up. I tried later to buy a prewar colombia , from Military Monark but he was off on the
year and the tank didn't fit. Good luck on your search. They are real year specific.

made for these I believe, supposed to be the bike that didnt get built back in the day due to WW II is what I have heard, so they built them for the 125th anniversary of Columbia.
