I just picked this up on Ebay. I'll probably ride it around as-is for a couple of months then tear it down and personalize it this fall when business slows down. Not too sure about those ape hangers!

I'm thinking of going boardtracker or bobber style with it.

Does anyone have any experience with Manhatten Cruisers? Are they decent bikes? I won't have it in my hot little hands til the end of the week.

Rick - those are the "Dyno" style ape hangers. They're called that 'coz they originally came on the Dyno cruisers. Needless to say, they have been copied by many other manufacturers.

Manhatten cruisers are made by KHS - they make a quality product.

beat me too it yea those are done by KHS and i think they are fine. on par with the new schwinn, nirve, or electra cruisers. i dig that one with the paint like that it looks like a stretched out old schwinn.

Hey Lightfoot;
I totally agree with Multipass. I recently acquired a Manhattan as well;

A Nitrous.

It's not as it came from KHS. I took off the apehangers, {couldn't get used to them,} and it already had the banana seat on 'er, formerly occupied by a cruiser saddle.

It is a sweet ride and a quality piece to be sure.

Nice bike Ginsonic! I'm glad to know the Manhattans are good quality, can't wait to get my hands on mine now!

I don't think the ape hangers are for me either, but i'll give'm a shot for a month or so til i figure out what i'm gonna do to this bike. I'm gonna be moving to a new house soon and I'll be too far out of town to bike ride to work anymore so I'm gonna keep the Electra home and keep this one at the store for running errands.
