Okay all good to go.. found a axle in my parts stash

Rims will get repainted before lace up.
Lots more to come. Just getting the parts ready now
Thanks for looking

As Andre 3000 would say "What's cooler than being cool?"

Hey bud, I think @KJV ‘s build ‘the Bird’ is an Elgin with those air cooled hubs, maybe he can help out on the spoke measurements

I use the Sapim spoke calculator right > HERE
Pretty versatile and has never lead me astray.
Trust your guy but try checking the calc out.

Carl.

Are you staying skiptooth and what cool sprocket are you using?

Carl

Skipton Skiptooth, just don't run the wheels with a Skipspoke pattern.

I love the cafe racer feel it has. I also like odd and wild color combinations. I have a feeling this will be one of my favorites.

Thanks!! I do have a couple color combo ideas.. none of them subtle
Love me a cafe racer for sure.

Have you laced up your Agent Orange wheels yet?

Thanks for checking on me.
Busy month here but now time to get some Build Off stuff done. Three months to go no time to waste.

I painted these rims 8/10 years ago and have been past around The Chicago TailDragger’s members tell coming back to me this year. They had a lot of shelf wear. So I just did a quick sand and quick rattle can spray back over them. Not a perfect job by any standard but will go well with the more ratty feel of this build.
Just now after work I laced up both wheels
I like the look. At first wanted to paint the spokes a accent color but now I’m loving the clean stainless.
