Spent the better part of my time off the past two days getting myself a real portable bench / workspace for model building in the garage. Picked up an old sturdy angle iron cart with a built in power supply and long cord. Attached a couple fold down leaf sides and now it can park in a 2' x 2' square area in the corner overnight. Not quite to 'photo quality' yet.

I found some Sharpie white markers that I had purchased a bunch of years ago for a project. After some vigorous shaking, they still flowed well! I also resurrected a box of Glad Rags fabric markers that have been in my desk for nearly 40 yrs. Yeah, that's right. I opened the purple one and tried it over a base of white on the Hags stretch pants. This is gonna work.:wink1:

Oh, and that rear axle and wheel combo is now glued in place.

Just to update those following along, I am 'back in the saddle again' as a school bus driver this Fall. We are on a hybrid model of learning, 2 days in school , 2 days distance learning, and Friday flex day for alternative learning. Two groups, A goes on Mon - Wed, B goes on Tues - Thurs. Masked up, smaller loads with the routes divided that way, seems to be going well so far.

In between morning and afternoon routes, I get stuff done. Working on reinforcing our foundation along a back corner of the house where water and weather has taken it's toll over the past 32 years. While I wait for cement to dry, I move into the garage and work on the kit bash project. Then while I wait for paint to dry, I move back outside to fill more cracks and seams in the concrete.

Here's today's progress report. Got some color on Hag, eyes, put some color on the hair then a spray of off-white. She's old, after all. Dremel got used as well. Trimmed some fat off the lower extremities, and got her position in the car settled.

I step away from the forum for a week or so and they start something totally off the wall... December 15th is a long ways off, I might be able to come up with a build. We'll see. I've been building post-apocalyptic cars from Hotwheels for the last week, maybe it's time for a larger scale build.

Carl.

It's amazing what a set of new choppers will do to enhance(?) your appearance....

Before plumbers putty denture implant:

This is before the 'whitening' process. You gotta move fast with this stuff. Starts to harden after about 2 mins.

It seems like I'm posting a lot in this thread, but remember, I'm moving at "OddJob Speed". Which means, I start fast, and end quick. So in a couple weeks when I'm done, I'll sit back and watch all you cats building up a storm for the next 2 months!

Got some white on Hags putty dentures this morning. And some more paint in places. Also getting the Ford glued together, and positioned Hags bottom in the trunk, where her trunk will soon be positioned.

Concrete is setting up on the back foundation. One more day of work back there tomorrow.

Sculpting more detail onto my "tire smoke" foundation today using Apoxie Sculpt two-part putty/clay. As it starts to cure, I can further blend with a brush dipped in water.
Also got my new Anyway Whatever Podcast shirt, which goes right along with the monsters and rods theme.
