Picked up a mid 20's Hawthorne Flyer made by Elgin with steel lined wood rims with 28" glue-on tires that are combination tube/tires. Does anyone know of a repro source for these?

The old guy I got my Columbia from bought some a while back. Just gotta get in touch with him. He sold nearly everything in a package deal to a guy in northern Maine. He kept a few choice bikes. His health is failing and he can't restore em anymore. I hope he can help a bit with this one. On further research it's missing a lot of parts. Should have a light, battery, tool bow, rear rack, and truss rods. The rims are in amazing shape and I'd like to find orginal tires for it. This bike would make such a sweet boardtracker. I'd have a custom rear set drop seat post post made for it to make it rideable.

do you have a preference on color? if not your cheapest bet will be from memory lane classics(the grey sew ups..still pricey but now where near as bad they also have the black, red, and white but those cost abit more)

and theres universal tires(very pricey also)

harpers tires also has some(dont have the link right now but price wise they are about the same)
and cokertires has some also

my suggestion is try some fix a flat or slim first and see if itll hold air with that(some people on the cabe were saying it should work depending on how bad they are).......if not then start checking the links
btw the 'single tubes' they sell now are solid rubber and dont actually take air and are a pain to mount but if you do get some ill give you some tips on how to get them on really easy
ohhhhhhhh....you might try checking places that sell wheel chair tires they might be a cheaper option

Sensor thank you! Grey tires was what I was hoping for.

Sensor do the sew-ups just glue on like the original or does sew-up mean something else I am uniquely unqualified to do? :D
