StingRay # help?

I am posting for a friend here. StingRay number.
Trying to decide time frame because it seems early. Any ideas?

Well I thought of that but it still wouldn't explain the early serial number. So I don't know.

How about some more pics - might help answer some questions.

Also, is it repainted? If it is, the bike is likely a Typhoon that was restored as a StingRay. Those bikes used the same frame.

The earliest bikes so far have been dated May, but Schwinn did a lot of 'whatever' in production so a lot might be possible. Tough to say without a lot more info.
