I bought 29 bikes from a guy that had been collecting them for a long time, and I ended up with both of these. Both pedal and shift great, and will clean up very nice. The Schwinn is a 10 speed, the Rixe is a 3 speed. Road bikes aren’t my thing, so I’d like to move them to somebody who likes them. I’m not trying to get rich off of them, but I’d like to know what would be a fair price to ask for them.

Like the Rixie. Would you post pics of the rear wheel, hub and shifter? The bike looks so much like the Falter folding bike I have.

For some unknown reason the bike I have has 2 matching front wheels, front and back! also any pics of the seat/seat post?

Will do. I’ll be out there tomorrow and I’ll take a bunch of pics of it for you.

Thanks. That’s kind of what I had in mind. It’s a super clean bike, and it rides and shifts perfectly. I may put tires on it before I list it. Do you you think that would help the sell, or would you leave the old cracked up gum walls on it.

I believe that the light blue girls bike could be improved with more comfortable handle bars, mattress springs saddle seat, and fenders.
But those or new tires and tubes may be cost prohibitive.
For sure. I’m really looking to get my money back out of the investment, so it probably wouldn’t net me enough to justify it.

On this Rixe. I just started on cleaning it up and man is this bike beautiful. There’s details everywhere you look. After getting into I realized it has 26 x 1.75 tires on stainless rims! It has a Sachs Torpedo 3 speed that works great. The fork is chrome that fades back to a red at the top. The frame is kind of a root beer brown with white, black, and red faded into certain areas. It’s got wingnuts for the front wheel and a very cool looking stem. The cooper wire for the rear taillight goes inside frame up near the neck.
It’s just got a lot of cool little details.

Rideable is good and a couple of Cheng Shins should be about $20ish.

Both of these bikes got a little workout this weekend. Both are very nice riders.

I assumed this was a 26” bike, but after looking at the tires, it actually has 27 x 1 1/4’s. (You probably knew that - but I’m ignant to this style of bike)

I got the match to the ladies Rixe today from the same person. Both of these are really nice bikes, though that orange is loud!
