I've read where you could get screws from the hardware store and grind down the screwhead to look like the original.

I leave them off and keep them in a a safe place with other treasures. They aren't really needed but would look good with them on.

Thanks Wildcat. I was thinking the same thing about grinding down the head on some newer type screws. I just kind of like the look of them.

You can also file down the first 1/2 inch to look just like the adjusters.
