Was thinking.. You could have named it "Blackboard Tracker", if you had gone with the board track style of course.
BTW, I love the bars you're using, very cool.
Check out my build gallery.. HERE
You need a set of those liquid chalk markers like they use at my "I refuse to plug" coffee shops. This bike is AWESOME and isn't just FUN to watch build, but has an unlimited potential for ongoing FUN and personalization. A perpetual moving canvas for creativity.
thanks always nice to hear it. the bars are from Pake.
every ride and every event something new. i am even going to bring a box and let people chalk it up.
now back to problems.
here is what i have.
here is another reason i want to replace this cable. its not poor quality, but rather industrial strength. it dosent bend well and is preventing the head lock from seating perfectly.
i am going to ride it a bit first to see how these brakes stop the bike because they require a lot of lever pressure. reverse levers that i operate with my weakest fingers may not be optimal. got to bed them in and see how they feel.
Slow down there partner! Remember what happens from brake testing?
RIGHT! I still can't straighten out my arm all the way.
Now you know why I am lery of cutting the original cable. It's super beefy and not flexible. It needs to be replaced with a high performance one that I can trim and is more flexable.
The top caps with out the cable in there fit almost flush.
Gonna reach down between my legs....and shift some gears.
This shifter didn't look good on the bar so I decided to relocate it somewhere a little more stealth. I will get pics later of how I did it, but for now enjoy the New School flavor.
And pay no attention to the 24" berm master tire for off road mode.
Just a splash of UGV for y'all.
I put a couple of hours into it today and the reverse levers are functioning properly.
I need to string up the rear shifting.
I need a chain.
6mm of crank axle spacers.
It's almost done.
I like the shifter. Just as long as you don't mount it higher to shift it with you butt.
Did you see what EasyRider420 did with "Clueless" with the sawn down old school grip shift mounted to the handlebar stem?

MO FIRE MO WING .. just build a cool bike and have fun
I just did, sorry I have tunnel vision.
I needed a 22.2 bar to clamp it to. I hate it's look and want it in the back of the bike. So I took out the 25.4 post and put in a 22.2 one with a shim. Now I can run less cable and don't have to look at it with that window of extra cable up front. It just through off the balance of the handle bars.
Why not mount it on a bar end clamped to the seat post, it might make shifting a little less awkward... very little. haha
I guess it all depends on riding position and how comfortable you are with public adjustment.
