Crusier (Pretty in Pink)

Postby Pushie Pirate on Sun Apr 15, 2012 11:49 pm

Had a Daughter turn 15 recently had a surprise for her Birthday.

Started with one of these frames, cut and laid down the seat post, had to fill in the gap in
front of the post with a bit of scrap tube.

Broke up the pink with red grips and pin strips, also note the 15 scrip on the basket.

Best comment she gets is when people ask her where she bought her bike and she tells them
I didn't buy it, Dad made if for me! And doesn't that make her old man stoked!

Very nice.

Did you cut the seat tube at the bottom bracket also or some how bend it back?

Hi Folks,

Thanks yeah she is happy with her new wheels, KJV on the car she has an older
sister who has already asked the car question!

aka_locojoe here is a pic of my other recent build the Vwcycle did the same
with the seat post cut a small v low at the bottom of the back of the tube and
bent it back. Had to fill in the gap at the top front with a bit of scrap tube,
worked out well, bonus you can have the seat lower to the ground but still a
decent length from the pedals.
