Hello from Seattle...

Postby mrfritz on Sat Jan 14, 2012 9:01 am

I've only recently started to understand the FUN of the classic cruiser. It all started on a weekend in California and getting my first $40 used beach cruiser on craigslist.

That one became this.

Image

Which still needs a lay back seat post, moustach bars and a set of "big apple 235's"..

and in the middle of that I found out what a "Dyno Roadster" was and found a frame with decals... That became this.

Image

and then I got an e-bike kit.... This is FUN!

Not quite up to the status of a build, but ""Sirocco" is starting to come together. FUN

Chrome Stretch Frame

100mm aluminum rim with a 4" endemporph just clears the chopper forks

20x12-8 slicks finally mounted on wheels that will fit a hollow hub axle.

There are a few other odds and ends I'm still waiting for... To go with a couple boxes of parts I already have...

Which arrived today from a fellow RRB member! Two pieces of fabrication... Then it's a build!

Image

First day out of the shop, still needs a little work to be complete. That's "Haulin Colin" who did a lot of the fabrication on this project.

Pasco! It's a lot dryer there. :D

I couldn't resist buying this one. Right now the only thing I think I need to do to this bike is ride it. I'm sure that will change with a little time... BUT..

Just put together a 24" BMX cruiser. It's based on a diamondback aluminum frame.

My son just got back... The bars shifted on him a bit when he was jumping. BIKES ARE FUN!

"Angel Michael's Orange Crush"

Image

I started planning this build a few months ago. Its a bike for a kid that has been there for others doing the right thing. Often when its hard to do so. What i didnt know is it would come together just as his dad got ill. Being able to build this bike and give it him as been a blessing. Now along with it i can give his dad and family my prayers.

Hello there from Greenlake. Just picked up this 1964 Schwinn Typhoon last Friday. I inverted the bars and turned the seat post around and that's it so far. Ape hangers and chrome straight springer forks sre in the mail. Man it's nice out there today. Glad to see the sun for a change right?

This is a fixie I gave to a kid who returned a stolen bike after he had put a lot of his own time into fixing up the stolen bike. It's basically the same bike but better. I told him that it was my way of making sure no good deed was left unanswered.

Let's call this one; "Fernando's Fixie"

This is a newer version of a BMX bike. A quadframe that I bought on here with some parts I've been putting aside including a 2sp kick back hub. Just completed the build tonight.

Image

FUN!
Still have to add a tan saddle and the black wheel disks I ordered from Choppers USA when they get here. I think I want to paint the handlebars white and add a front brake too.

I'm missing a couple of builds... a 26" quad frame and a girls BMX bike...
