Re: What Looks Better On this Elgin Twin BarOK Nate..... I am one who tends to like to see a bike in that good a condition stay original.... BUT I must admit that the wheel looks pretty COOL!
BTW.... is your right crank bent a little, or is it just the angle of the pic?
Re: What Looks Better On this Elgin Twin Bar
The right pedal shaft is bent I must be over the weight limit for the pedal pushing 185pounds. Thanks, Nate
Re: What Looks Better On this Elgin Twin BarThe wheel is cool but I personally like the bars.
It doesn't matter what I paid for it, it matters what it's WORTH. I never buy anything I will regret KEEPING.
Re: What Looks Better On this Elgin Twin Barlooks good both ways.. but I would ride it with the bars... and show it with the wheel.
I love the smell of fresh barn finds in the morning
Re: What Looks Better On this Elgin Twin BarNate: Awesome bike! Wheel does look cool, but personally I like it with the bars better. (really that bike would look good with any kind of steering mechanism)
My Favorite Color is Rust!
Re: What Looks Better On this Elgin Twin BarI gotta say bars too - it just doesn't look right with the wheel. Robert
Re: What Looks Better On this Elgin Twin BarHow does it ride with the wheel, is it awkward?
Re: What Looks Better On this Elgin Twin BarThe wheel looks oddly cool... good for a parade or cruise
...
Re: What Looks Better On this Elgin Twin BarWould you put bike bars on your Chevy truck instead of a steering wheel? Ditch the wheel!
Dripping with Sarcasm...
Re: What Looks Better On this Elgin Twin BarThis bike is gorgeous both ways!
I think this is the first time I've seen a steering wheel on a bike that I would enjoy driving. The white of the steering wheel matches so well with the other white parts. With the white steering wheel, I'd be tempted to use some type of white seat (IMO only). It would be super stylish! On the other hand, if you want it more period correct, use the bars and black grips (and the black seat goes better then too) Good Luck!
Re: What Looks Better On this Elgin Twin BarI too usually prefer bars, but this wheel looks so good on this bike, and most people who see you riding this bike probably wouldn't know it's not original. You need to put a steering knob on it.

Re: What Looks Better On this Elgin Twin Bar+1 on wheel for show, bars for go
So many bikes, so little time.......
Re: What Looks Better On this Elgin Twin BarNate i think its nice both ways but like yoothgeye said most people wont know its not OG but i think it looks good both ways the wheel just adds something i think ..cool either way but i would rock the wheel...
Re: What Looks Better On this Elgin Twin BarI think the wheel is cool ,as long as you keep all the original stuff have fun with it, but yeah that is one sick bike
What would Jesus ride???
