They banned the General Lee from doing the parade lap. So now KARMA showed up and shut the race down...YEA RAIN..glad to see NASCAR is going to suffer something from this rain after what they did to the REBEL flag....love it

So yea, the rebels were racist because they had slaves, whatever, the main reason they fought was because they succeeded from the union, oh hey, when you're your own country you gotta have a flag right? Yea that's what they did, made there own flag, and went to war with the union, they succeeded because they didn't want the union telling them what to do, they had there own way of life and they were just fine, until the union got all bent out of shape.
I don't think the flag is offensive, but people just need something to complain about, I guess if you don't like the flag, well that's your problem, if it's offensive/racist, it's part of history, same goes with Nazi flags, people get bent out of shape too fast.
Yes they all did horrible stuff to people but that's how life goes.
Doing the Daytona 500 or not the general lee is still a great car and part of 60's history.

When I peronally hear ,see or think about rebel flags one thing comes to my mind "rebel ", going against the norm or against the grain, not fitting in with everything else mainstream, so if you want to have a rebel flag on the seat of a rat rod, I say go for it. Just my .02
