white banana seat with small rebel flags on it? read more

when I was young I had a blue stingray that pretty much was pieced together from parts found in the garbage by my grandfather. It had an unusual seat, it was a white banana seat with confederate flags all over it. ive been looking to recreate my old bike but never seen a seat like that anywhere, i figured id give this place a try. Id even like a photo of one if someone could please help me.... thanks in advance.

Were they printed on or just stickers? I could see stickers happening pretty easily, but I'd imagine most seat companies wouldn't touch that, even in the 60's/70's

Bteer be careful...that ol Rebel Flag seems to be a sore spot right now. One thing is for sure...you won't be able to take it to a NASCAR event. They banned the GENERAL LEE because the Rebel flag on top of the car is too offensive. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH..last time I checked NASCAR was just about 90% redneck. the other 10% are rich brats..oh..thats the drivers..sorry..ha ha

It was printed on it. the flag posts were gold and there was another southern flag with it, the flag posts crossed. its really unusual.....its a shame about the confederate flag getting thr bum rap, i understand a bad group used it for their symbol tarnishing its history. its too bad people are fixated on only the negative. this country was founded by all people, many gave their lives. the history of american railroads explained how much minortys did for americas sucess.

People can't fly rebel flags on classic cars or bikes yet any Lowrider has paintings of women totally naked and that is acceptable? Some are actually pornographic in nature, at least some of what I've seen (not for little eyes).

I say, get a rebel flag seat if you want. Its a free country and people can just shut the heck up and have fun. Some whiners need to really grow some and mind their own business.

YES..believe it or not NASCAR being the upstanding organization they are decided to NOT let the General Lee do the parade lap at Daytona. Heres how it went. A Golfer named Bubba watson bought the General Lee at the Barrett Jackson auction for a ridiculous amount of money. NASCAR then contacted him and asked if he would bring the car to the Daytona 500 and do the parade lap. So he took it there and ran it around the track a few times. While he was on the track some official noticed the Rebel flag on the roof of the car and thought it to be offensive. So..you know what happened next. Everyone jumped on the band wagon to call it offensive. IMAGINE THAT. So now he is not allowed to do the lap due to the few that have no idea about why the car is there or why it was an icon in our REDNECK history. It has NOTHING to do with the flag. Sure there may be a few that use the flag to promote racism but then again is NASCAR a racist organization??? Seems to me if you ain't white and rich you aint RACIN ya'll. Or a rich girl named DAN A KA..who might i add had never won a race ( rain shortened doesn't count) and im no fan of NASCAR racing anyway. Daytona race is as boring as watching grass grow. It's the same ol thing all race ...then the last 2 laps everyone decides...oh the race is ending..i better crash.


BUY THE SEAT...FLY THE FLAG..do what you want. Tell those who oppose you to.......you add the rest. It's a free country..do what you want..say what you want. If you want to control people..move to Russia..i hear they have openings for rulers there.

My ex-fiancees dad was a nascar official of some sort. I've burnt that bridge so bad that I can't even scream to the other side to ask questions though.

Well they banned the Geneal Lee from doing the parade lap. The whole idea was to have the car there because of what you just said..NASCAR racing was built around the Redneck Southern ( no offense intended) moonshiners racing and running the roads. So now all we have left in NASCAR are the rich kids that had money from babies and grew up only knowing how to race with new cars and parts. I have no interest in watching NASCAR anymore. There is nothing stock about any of this racing. it's all about who has the most money to throw at testing and tryign to figure ot how to cheat the best without getting caught ( lowes team)

History is what it is. No wants to make a joke out of racisim by having the General Lee at a race. We want to see history...and of course hope daisy comes back to life with the shorts of course

then recover a seat pan.

Actually there is more than one General Lee. Not sure the exact number. I know Kid Rock bought one a few years back.

Bubba Watson.....Man, that just sounds like a guy who ought to own the General Lee

In the original TV series, 300 Generals were used, and only about 5 or 6 survived.
