Here are my bare metal bikes, that I built several years ago, out of aluminum honeycomb composite, there is no tube frame in these bikes. They have never been painted, although they have had stuff glued to them, but acetone and a jitterbug (orbital sander) cleans them up.

Here is one I did along time ago. It has since be given to my brother. Bare Columbia repro frame and Kona P2 fork.

Well the frame is bare metal! Done with a propane torch and steel wool, I had the blisters to prove it.
