Just have to shorten the chain.

I tried that and then when I removed a link it was then too short when I tried to re-install the master link. Someone suggested using a half link. Anyone use one before? Heading to the LBS this morning.
Ok, toss the master link and get a chain breaker tool. When figuring out the lenght of the chain, are you on the last gear closest to the frame? That's where the chain should be to measure the proper lenght and you should also have some tension in the derailleur. Are you using a derailleur chain? Just trying to help.

I am wondering if its just a stop adjustment or an alighnment issue with the derailer and not a loose chain ??
I decided to ditch the whole 5 speed derailleur set up because I ran out of patience, ha ha. I'm using my Shimano 3 speed rear wheel instead.
I've also been toying with the idea of using these fenders. Not sure if I should paint them or not. Not really sure about the speedo either. Thinking of taking it off and painting the neck and the headlight bracket flat black. What this bike really needs is a springer....then it will look just like Multipass's bike....ha ha!

Booooo Yaaaaa!

looking great Steve ..I really like the contrast on frame and fenders, and the stripes really bring it to life !

Thanks guys.
I will admit this, only because I am too honest....I'm bored with this bike...HA HA! I can't quite describe it, but I'm thinking that it's because I basically built a standard off the shelf rat cruiser. That and the fact that all of my parts look almost new. Maybe I need to paint it or something....some funky color. It's supposed to be in the upper 60s next week.
yes it looks clean and neat but it looks cool!
hey wait all your bikes look clean and neat maybe with all that graphics art training your photoshoping them! lol they are really cartoon bikes we found you out! now seriously you could put the front fender on the rear paint it a different color maybe match the forks and chainguard mint green meybe... there are a million options think out of the box like kev does .... cruise the ratrod websites for 10 bucks on ebay i bought a vintage paint stencil kit for my frame but I think someone could do that easy enuff with masking tape to add color to the headtube and seat tube What I lack in pure craftsman skills I make up for in precision eyeballin
