and as if I wasn't draggin my feet enough, as I was puttin in our new $400 water filtration system (so we can feel good about drinking the Cali water after the whole meltdown thing) , My wifes father decides to up and die last night.. :x since he was a hells angel loner type. looks like I'll be picking up the service and the disposal fees so my wife doesn't retaliate in the bedroom.... :(

On the bright side, I wont be biting my nails waiting for parts to show up...

after a short hiatus to deal with that boring real life crap, I am back at it! Got a sweet pair of too small matching stems from clerkkent and after contemplating murdering em with the drill press I pulled a favor and had my buddy bore em on the mill. now to lace wheels...

Either set of bars look good to me, if you're gonna ride it a lot, go for comfort.

BTW, dang there's a lot of rake on this puppy!

I noticed the awesome rake right away too.

I happen to like the first bars because I like riding my bike that way.

The second bars give it a very different look.

Build it so you can ride it. :D

Sweet clean ride! I also like the rusted up Spaceliner in your shop.

Keep the first set of bars; remind me of cafe racer clip-on bars. Love the overall style.

Re: INBetweener ... not fishing!!

Postby scrumblero on Sat Jul 16, 2011 10:09 pm

well.. its been real hard not to roll the boat and go fishing whenever I get free time, but I gotta work tonight so I spent some time tody goofing with the bike.. I was riding it all last week swapping around bar config's and heres where it sits...

Image

it rides best like this, but I still dont like the look, I am gonna flip the stem and see if I like it any better, or I may still try and do something with the pull back bars..
Anyway.. I got a super cool chaingaurd from beatcad, and shot some FB around the old striping and slapped it on.

Image

and started working on the headlight mount... :

I'm having a hard time finding a headlight I like and desperately need to find an old fender and get going on that as well.. hopefully the flea market will produce tomorrow...

Hey Scrumblero,

Glad to here it's riding well.
The chain guard looks really good on your bike.

Good luck at the flea market.
