Worksman Rat Rod Trike

Postby inshane64 on Sun Mar 06, 2011 12:13 am

Well I started this project before I knew about this forum so I dont have before pics, but it was blue with a white basket and in rough shape. It is a Worksman tricycle all origanal parts except I put new tires on it.

I recently scored an old spaceliner girls bike and decided the springer might look good on the trike. what do you guys think??

Found some sweet parts I may use:

I found a basket I may use instead of the red one its an old school basket really heavy duty that reads Beatrice Foods 59:

I also picked up this wolf head at the Goodwill it was hollow and I used a bolt and JB Weld to give me a mounting point. The wife said it's tacky, I told her so am I. Card inserted for scale purpose, fell free to rack up my bill.

I got a couple more steps done on the trike:

1. Got the wolf head installed, bolted an old reflector flange.

2. Decided I wanted to ride with my buddy Arthas, so me and my lady upholstered the back basket.

I like everything about this bike so far. Nice touches and the dog is the bomb. Were looking at getting a Chug (chihaua/pug) right now. Very excited to get a riding buddy.

I spent some time in the shop the last two days and got my trike a little closer to what I want:

First I fabricated some brackets and swaped the chainguard.

Old:

New:

Second I made a bumper/handle thingy:

Third I welded some brackets on to hold my flag:

Next I installed a speed-o and put the front basket back on:

Here is how it sat mid-ride tonight!!

This is my folder, This thing was so trashed that the pedals hit the ground more than a inch. Cut and rewelded the frame back, New black paint, newer used tires, BMX bars, two baskets and have it on C/L now.
